Community

Cristo Rey New York High School (CRNYHS) strives to build an encouraging atmosphere for the community of faculty, staff, students and the surrounding neighborhoods.

There are a variety of communities that are strongly connected to the school.

  • CRNYHS has the unique opportunity to interact with the corporate world in New York City because the students represent CRNYHS and its values in the workplace by working in corporations all over New York one day a week to help pay for their tuition.
  • CRNYHS has taken several steps to create a positive relationship with other organizations in the local community.  We have a close relationship with The Boys' Club of New York and we use gym space at Our Lady Queen of Angels.
  • The school engages with several Catholic volunteer organizations, including Ignatian Lay Volunteer Corps.
  • We also have a community of 226 proud Cristo Rey alumni/ae.
