As a donor, your generosity and kindness make possible many wonderful opportunities for our students, both in their experiences at work and inside their classrooms.

Annual Fund Gifts
Gifts to the Cristo Rey Annual Fund support our operating budget and enable us to provide first-rate educational and curricular programs for our students.

Designated Gifts
Gifts may be designated for the Cristo Rey Scholarship Fund, our annual scholarship fund, or our Building Renovation Program. We value the chance to show you the variety of opportunities where your support can make a big difference.

The Lion's Den Scholarship Fund
The Lion's Den Scholarship Fund gives YOU the opportunity to directly touch the life of a Cristo Rey student.

Each Cristo Rey student earns the majority of the cost of his/her education by working at an entry-level clerical job five days per month. According to their means, parents contribute to the $2,000 tuition. However, the average income of a Cristo Rey family is less than $30,000 so the majority of families receive aid that makes it possible for their child to attend Cristo Rey.

As a member of the Lion's Den, you will:

• Provide an opportunity to a worthy young person to attend a small, Catholic, college-preparatory school
• Bridge the gap between what families pay and the cost of tuition
• Receive updates from the school and individual student regarding his/her progress at Cristo Rey

Join the Lion's Den by giving a gift of:

• $1,000 (50 percent of tuition)
• $1,200 (60 percent of tuition)
• $1,400 (70 percent of tuition)
• $2,000 (50 percent of tuition for two students)

Gift of Time
Volunteers and guest speakers offer our students to new perspectives and opportunities. As a Cristo Rey Volunteer, YOU CAN:

  • Serve as a tutor in reading, writing, math tutors for students during hours of the school day, typically between 3:30 PM and 5:00PM.
  • Help with coaching sports teams
  • Participate in fundraising efforts with the Advisory Committee of young professionals

Volunteers should have strong communication skills, a consistent schedule, and an ability to commit to tutoring for at least three months.
