Meet the New Teaching Faculty!

Mary Grace Mangano

Mary Grace joined the CRNY faculty as an English teacher to freshmen and sophomores. Before coming to Cristo Rey, she went to Villanova University as an undergraduate English and Humanities major, and then received her M.S. in Management from the University of Notre Dame. She also completed Notre Dame's two-year Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teaching Fellows Program in Chicago. Through her two years of service with ACE teaching middle school Language Arts and Religion at Saint Ann School in Pilsen, she completed her M.Ed. 

Amanda Pertierra

Amanda received her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Anthropology from Middlebury College and her M.Ed. at the University of Notre Dame through the ACE program, where she taught at a parish school in Brownsville, TX for two years. She then went on to teach and work in Development at Brooklyn Jesuit Prep before coming to Cristo Rey to teach junior and senior History classes.

Ray Page

Ray got his bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education at SUNY Oneonta and has been teaching for over 35 years.  Before coming to Cristo Rey, he taught at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City for 17 years. This year, he is teaching junior and senior English classes at CRNYHS.

Erin Regan

Erin is joining the team as both a History and Religion teacher to sophomores and seniors. She comes to Cristo Rey after teaching at Saint John's College High school in Washington D.C. Previously, she received a B.A. in International Political Economy and Theology from Fordham University.

Bina Rao

Bina is the newest addition to the Science department, teaching Physics and Chemistry this year. She has both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Chemistry, as well as a D.H.E. from Bombay University. Bina taught high school Physics and Chemistry for 22 years in India and an additional 17 years in NYC, 16 of those in Catholic schools.
