Dr. Clemente earned her B.A. in Health and Physical Education at Arizona State University, her M.S. in Secondary Education from Syracuse University, an M.B.A. in Organizational Behavior from Iona College and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration / Supervision from Seton Hall University.  Since 2003, Fran has served as founding principal of Newmark High School in Scotch Plains, NJ.  She describes Newmark as an out-of-district placement for students with learning, behavioral and social disabilities. The school's mission is to maintain the highest standards of education through differentiated instructional strategies that help students to succeed despite their challenges.

Prior to Newmark, Fran worked as the Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, and as the Assistant Principal of The Windsor School. Before Fran started her impressive career in secondary education, she was a women's basketball coach at Iona College and Syracuse University.

Fran has conveyed her deep concern for her students and faculty, her enthusiasm for the mission of CRNY and the personal traits possessed by effective leaders. We are so excited to welcome her to our community!
