A letter from the Director of Admissions
Dear Future Cristo Rey Lions,
I am very excited for the opportunities that await you on 106th Street! For the past 17 years our dedicated faculty and staff has guided 1,112 students through the halls of Cristo Rey New York High School (CRNYHS). With their love, passion for teaching, and confidence in our students our graduates go on to navigate the halls of Boston College, Dartmouth, Fordham, Georgetown, NYU, Notre Dame, UPENN, and many more.
CRNYHS was founded out of a great impulse to help bring about social justice. Through our college
preparatory program and the work done through the Corporate Work Study program we provide access to a quality college-preparatory education, addressing a central challenge for students of limited financial resources.
Cristo Rey New York High School is guided by the spirit of care for the individual, cura personalis. Our ultimate goal is that our students will graduate from college and become professionals for others, transforming the world for the good of their families and society.
As a proud alumna I am truly grateful for my time as a student at Cristo Rey. The rigorous academic curriculum, my experience in the Corporate Work Study Program, and my involvement in the extra curricular activities, like volleyball and Campus Ministry, shaped me into the woman I am today.
I invite you to come and explore the many opportunities that Cristo Rey New York High School has to offer. If you would like to attend our Fall Open House on Saturday October 2nd, please fill out our Registration Form. If you are interested in applying, please visit our How to Apply section to begin the application process. If you have any questions on the admissions process the Admissions Department is ready to assist you through the application process.
Just like I did, I hope to see you create your own story on 106th Street and share your journey with future lions in the years to come.
