STEP 1: ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
  • Students must be 14 years old by September 1st, 2026.

  • Cristo Rey New York High School exclusively serves students who desire a college prep education but cannot otherwise afford to attend a private high school. Demonstrated financial need is a requirement for admission and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis through the financial aid process. View detailed information on our Financial Fact Sheet.

  • You must have at least average grades and attendance and be willing to work hard to meet high academic expectations and the work obligations of the school.

  • You must possess the maturity and work ethic necessary to be successful working with adults in an office environment.  All students must be authorized to work in the United States by the first day of the work-study program.

  • Cristo Rey New York accepts a limited number of 10th-grade transfer students at the beginning of each academic school year. Students who are interested must follow the application process and meet all requirements.  The application for Transfers opens March 1st, 2026. Cristo Rey New York does not accept mid-year transfers.
